Our Client in Fiji Islands is looking for a Financial Controller ,which is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategic planning within the manufacturing sector. This position plays a pivotal role in establishing financial policies, ensuring compliance, and maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. The Financial Controller will collaborate with senior management to drive financial performance and contribute to data-driven decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies that enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Lead budgeting processes, including budget forecasting, variance analysis, and resource allocation to optimize financial performance.
- Monitor and analyze financial trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring effective liquidity management and timely financing of operational requirements.
- Drive enhancements in financial controls and internal processes to mitigate risk and improve overall accuracy in reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective cost management and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the reliability and integrity of financial information and operational compliance.
- Prepare and present detailed reports for stakeholders, including executive leadership, the audit committee, and external regulators.
- Oversee tax strategy and compliance, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws within the manufacturing sector.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development aligned with company goals.
- Establish strong partnerships with external auditors, banking institutions, and other financial stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Member of ICASL/CIMA/ACCA.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements specific to manufacturing.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (SAP BI), with advanced Excel skills.
-Prior experience in manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
