A reputed Group of companies in Fiji Islands is looking for a FC. The Financial Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of the manufacturing sector. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays an instrumental role in driving strategic financial planning and analysis to support organizational growth objectives. The Financial Controller will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the establishment of robust financial controls to optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with strategic goals.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and safeguard assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
- Conduct variance analysis of financial performance against budgets and forecasts and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization to support business operations.
- Review and enhance the cost accounting system to ensure accurate product costing, margin analysis, and pricing strategies.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and address any findings.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skills enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CA Membership.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong knowledge of local taxation laws and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems with advanced Excel skills.
