Job Overview

The External Audit Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing the external audit function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enhancing the integrity of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Lead external audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
- Manage and mentor audit team members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their professional development.
- Develop and implement audit plans tailored to the specific needs and potential risks of client organizations.
- Evaluate internal controls and financial reporting processes, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Liaise with clients to understand their business operations and address any audit-related inquiries, thus fostering strong professional relationships.
- Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports to senior management and key stakeholders, clearly articulating findings and recommendations.
- Identify areas for process improvement within audit methodologies and contribute to the overall enhancement of audit practices.
- Ensure timely completion of audits within the established budget and deadlines, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the audit process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide strategic insights based on audit findings, informing business decisions, and risk management strategies.
- Remain abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in audit technologies to ensure continual enhancement of audit practices.
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff and new hires, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the development and review of audit tools and software to increase efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or partly qualification in CA.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in external auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in audit software and tools, with a solid understanding of data analytics in audit.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while leading a team effectively in a challenging environment.
